...to breath-holding, and as the challenge became obsessional, he ran into Claude Chapuis, whom will turn into his mentor. Today, faithful to the Nice’s school teachings, Guillaume gives himself entirely to his passion, with all his soul and determination.
Deepest man on earth
Few are the ones on earth to achieve such performances. Guillaume belongs to this fistful of men diving such depths, for such long times, men able to push human limits:
Youngest world record holder at 20 years old.
- France Champion 2001 – (-82 metres) - 1st world record 2002 - (-87 metres) - 2nd world record 2004 - (-96 metres) - 3rd world record 2006 - (-109 metres) - 4th world record 2008 - (-113 metres)
The explorer
Deep down the seas, Guillaume lives an adventure, an exploration, a journey. He dives to uncover submarine world, to learn and share all its truth when reaching the surface. Through his journeys and images, he wishes to open our eyes on the tight balance this water world is on, fragile and beautiful.
Guillaume dives under the ice, follows the paths of the dolphins, meets underwater floras and dives always deeper in submarine caves. He sets up adventures on various subjects, like meeting exceptional animals or diving uncommon spots such as Antarctic or high mountain lakes. His quest is not about performance only, it’s about a fusion with elements and unknown parts of our world.
A commited man
Transmission: In Nice at CIPA, his apnea club, throughout the world with training sessions, through lectures and seminars, Guillaume shares and kindly transmit its knowledge to a wide range of publics.

He is creator of the first 100% sustainable development apnea contest. He attended the 2010 edition of “Flocon à la vague”, which goal is to act for water protection.
Artist of the depths
Guillaume works his sport like art. Sliding into the seas, he fuses with elements, moves and ripples with the underwater fauna and flora.
Along with his girlfriend Julie Gautier, breath-hold French record holder, he reveals a “sea artist” side of himself, acting in 2010 French singer Raphael’s album videoclip.
He also writes and directs cinema shorts, like his 7 millions internet clicks worldwide seen “Free-Fall” production, filmed in Bahamas.
He is fond of underwater photography and builds, through his company BLUENERY, an exclusive aquatic media database.
