John Naisbitt is often called the global philosopher among futurists. With his “astonishingly precise predictions” (Financial Times) and inspiring message he is one of the most sought after speakers in the world. He has experience in top management, in politics -- as assistant secretary of education to President John Kennedy and special assistant to President Lyndon Johnson -- and as an entrepreneur. His picture of the future is not only formed by the research he does. He has traveled the world since the late 1960s, keeping in close connection with corporations and people in different fields of endeavor. He has spoken to virtually every major corporation, to many several times.
His cultural life and residence in the United States, Asia and now Europe keep him directly in touch with a changing economic environment -- experience that is reflected in the books he has written.
John Naisbitt published the international bestsellers Re-inventing the Corporation in 1985, Megatrends 2000 in 1990, which was published in 32 countries and the Number One bestseller in the U.S., Japan, and Germany, and Megatrends for Women in 1992, (co-authored with Patricia Aburdene). His Japanese language book, Japan's Identity Crisis, was released in 1992 and was a bestseller in Japan.
His 1994 book, Global Paradox, received England's World Review Award for The Best Book of The Year. Megatrends Asia in 1995 was a bestseller in the German language and in Asia. High Tech High Touch, was published in the fall of 1999 and has since been published in 17 countries.
His latest book Mind Set! was published worldwide in English by Collins in October 2006, in November 2006 in Korea and Taiwan, and will be published in 36 countries during the year 2007.
The Wall Street Journal called his work “triumphantly useful…taking bearings in all directions and giving us the courage to do the same.”
John Naisbitt’s goal is to motivate and inspire his audience to see the future as something we can have access to, if we deliberately develop mindsets as a tool to see and evaluate the seeds and signs of change, which in time will built the future.

His latest book Mind Set! -Reset your Thinking and see the future, was published byCollins, October 2006.
In the tradition of Naisbitt’s reputation of forecasting the future, Mind Set! provides a visionary look at the global economic, political and cultural landscape that will dominate the next decades of the 21st century:
From Country Borders to Economic Borders; The EU’s two hearts and 27 Mindsets on a path of “Mutually Assured Decline”? Dealing with China where the Periphery is the Center; The reservoir of innovation our evolutionary era provides; New rules in Communication in the shift from word to visual.
But Mind Set! goes beyond that. John Naisbitt opens the door to what enables him to see the future: deliberately developed mindsets. The first part of the book is defining and exemplifying 11 Mindsets as tools to evaluate and select information and put together the pieces that will form new pictures of the future. It also shows the impact those mindsets can have in business, politics, government and personal life.
