Polar adventurer, Long distance & Endurance swimmer

Lewis is one of the world top long distance swimmers. Over a period of twenty years he has set 21 world records.  He was the first person to complete a long distance swim in every ocean of the world and he has pioneered more swims around famous landmarks than any other swimmer in history.

Lewis studied law at Cambridge University and then worked in a leading London law firm for a number of years.  In 2003, he left full time law to campaign for the protection of the environment.  Last year Lewis made international headlines when he undertook the first swim at the North Pole to raise awareness about the melting sea ice.

Lewis is living proof that people with vision, passion and determination can achieve the impossible.  His inspiring account of leading expeditions in Polar regions, in the most ferocious conditions imaginable, never fails to captivate an audience.  He is now regularly asked by Heads of State to address select audiences. 

Lewis speaks with authority to businesses around the world on leadership, teamwork, motivation and courage. He inspires his audiences to think big and believe that all of us are capable of extraordinary acts.  He will shortly attempt to become the first person to kayak to the North Pole.  A documentary on Lewis will be shown on the BBC early next year and his book “Conquering the Impossible” will be published by Simon & Schuster in 2009.
