... the cast of "Miss Saigon".
However, Myleene first shot into public consciousness in 2001 during the ITV1 series 'Popstars'. From thousands of singing hopefuls, Myleene was chosen to become one of five members of the controversial yet incredibly successful reality pop band, Hear'Say. Hear'Say's first single "Pure and Simple" entered the charts at No.1, going on to sell over 1 million copies. However, despite a string of hit singles and a nationwide sell out tour, the band split in late 2002 leaving Myleene to pursue a solo career.
In 2003, Myleene signed a solo deal with Universal Classics. The first fruit of this deal was her debut solo classical album "Moving On. Entering the classical charts at No.2, the album went on to break records in all genres, entering the popular charts amidst pop and rock artists alike.
Never one to stay still, summer of 2005 saw Myleene change career paths, focusing on her love for television. Incredibly her first TV role was presenting the hit ITV1 Saturday morning music show "cd:uk", an hour long live pop show and a real baptism of fire! Myleene hosted the show for six consecutive months interviewing a broad range of top music names from 50 Cent to Westlife.
cd:uk made the TV industry sit up and take notice of Myleene's natural persona on screen, sending her presenting career spinning into orbit. 2006 saw presenting roles on BBC1's "Heaven and Earth Show", the BBC's coverage of "The Proms", "GMTV", The All Star Talent Show" on Channel 5 and "Ghost Towns" for Living TV.
As part of World Vision's 24 hour Famine Appeal, Myleene visited Sierra Leone in early 2006 to see how World Vision was working to help villages build up their lives. She has also been the face of various charity campaigns including NCH's important Stop Text Bully campaign.
November 2006 saw Myleene visit Kabul in Afghanistan to present troops with a prize as part of the Daily Mirror's prestigious "Pride Of Britain" awards.
Later that month Myleene took on one of her biggest challenges yet spending three weeks in the Australian jungle as part of ITV1's massive show "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here". Myleene's natural charm and positive personality won over viewers of all ages, generating acres of press coverage in the process. In fact her bikini clad jungle showers made front page news nearly every day of the show!
After only one week on "I'm A Celebrity" Myleene became the most searched for celebrity from the show ever on internet search engine MSN, and the third most searched for celebrity overall in the world. By the last week of the show, Myleene became the No.1 most searched for celebrity in the world by UK users.
The final show of the series saw Myleene crowned "Queen Of The Jungle" finishing in second place and firmly winning a place in the hearts of the nation.
Fresh from her jungle success Myleene decided to auction her now legendary white bikini to raise money for the victims of collapsed Christmas savings firm Farepak. The bikini sold for a staggering £7,000 helping many families have a better Christmas in 2006.
Offers of work have naturally flooded in for Myleene post "I'm A Celebrity". She presented the live broadcast section of ITV1's massive "X Factor" final and, became one of the presenters on both BBC1's Saturday night entertainment show "The People's Quiz" and the network's new daytime show "The One".
2007 saw the launch of her own movie show on the prestigious worldwide channel CNN International. "The Screening Room" has so far seen Myleene interview A List movie stars across the globe including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Robert De Niro and Johnny Depp to name just a few.
In addition to her television roles, Myleene also hosts the Classic FM Breakfast show every Saturday and Sunday morning. She also writes a monthly feature in Classic FM Magazine entitled "Myleene's Hot Property".
Myleene's natural charm on television caught the eye of the directors of M&S who quickly signed her up to be the face of their 2007 and 2008 advertising campaigns. Myleene now adorns billboards and M&S windows across the country as well as appearing in their TV advertising campaign alongside such luminaries as Erin O'Connor and Twiggy.
July 2007 saw Myleene's return to world of music with a brand new deal with EMI Classics. Since signing the deal Myleene has released two albums "Myleene's Music For Romance" and "Myleene's Music For Mothers" both of which reached No.1 in the classical charts. As Myleene says: "The albums are about taking classical music to the masses and letting a new audience know that classical music doesn't have to be scary".
In the autumn of 2007 Myleene hosted her own ITV1 prime time show "Saturday Night Divas" featuring performances from Chakka Khan and Celine Dion amongst others. She then finished off an extraordinary year hosting BBC1's live end of year show "New Year Live".
2008 kicked off with the release of Myleene's first book, a candid pregnancy diary "My Bump and Me". The book headed straight into the Top 10 bestseller charts the week after it shelves and has remained there ever since.
Shortly after, Myleene flew to Canada to host her debut show for the country, "A Listers Unzippped", a fashion panel show with a twist. The rest of 2008 will see her present "The Classical Brits" for ITV1, a personal career highlight, followed by the launch of her very own baby range in September, in association with Mothercare, "Baby K".
With her exotic looks (her mother is Filipino, her father Austrian/English), her extraordinary talent, and her passion for the entertainment industry, Myleene is a girl made more articulate and feisty by her experiences. One thing is for certain, we are going to be hearing a lot more from this eloquent young woman for many years to come.
