...uo;s ability as a speaker is his charisma and belief that both organisations and individuals are born to win. “Successful people and organisations aren’t successful by the way they work…but by the way they think”.
Originally from Glasgow, he studied science at Surrey University before going on to fulfil a childhood ambition by becoming a successful comedy writer for radio and television. In 1986, at the age of 29, he was diagnosed with cancer. It was whilst in hospital that he experienced a moment of realisation that success in life was not a matter of luck but a matter of design. After leaving hospital, he studied extensively and applied the principles he believed were behind peak performance. He entered a period of rapid progression in his personal and professional life, and after four years he was asked to set up and run BBC Television’s Entertainment Development Unit.
He left the BBC to set up a training company – Sieger Group - with the sole aim of inspiring people to develop themselves to their full potential. He believes that organisational culture, and its ability to change, reflects what people believe about themselves. He has spent the last eighteen years researching the principles behind success, and his company works with major corporations, running internal and external training programmes on leadership, creativity, strategy and turning potential into profit through the creation of a success culture.
He is the author of the best selling book - Natural Born Winners - that has been sold in over 60 countries worldwide and translated into over 11 languages. The book has been turned into a television series and will be broadcast by STV in October 2004. His new book - You Can Change Your Life Any Time You Want To - will be published in January 2005, the first of a new three-book deal with Random House.
He has established a reputation as a world-class motivational speaker and was honoured with one of the first Fellowships awarded by the Professional Speakers Association in the UK. His recent speaking experiences have covered a wide spectrum – including the keynote address to the IBM Global Conference in Las Vegas and a small seminar for disadvantaged school children in Surrey.
In addition to his speaking commitments and the training courses offered through Sieger International, Robin has also developed a motivational self-esteem programme for children, based around his success and personal development philosophy. The programme is called 100% NBW and is being introduced to schools in September 2004.
