What is a speakers bureau and how does it work ?
Think of a speakers bureau as a right hand, it is there to help those who arrange meetings, conferences, workshops and special events. It can provide expertise through designated account directors and /or associates to provide ideas and information on speakers for the attention of event organizers and decision makers. Speakers Associates works with many speakers from the internationally renown to the very individual specialists dealing with enormous variety of topics. Our expertise can lead to the exact match for your requirements. The fees for such bureau services are included in the speaker's honorarium.

After the speaker has been selected and the invitation confirmed Speakers Associates will then handle all paperwork ensuring that a legal contract is in place and that the travel and accommodation arrangements are made.

Depending on your requirements and your location and that of the selected speaker we can arrange conference calls or even brief meetings to go through your requirements and for the speaker to fully engage on the chosen topic or theme.

I've never booked a speaker before. Where do I begin ?

Are you able to source all speakers ?
From time to time we are asked to provide speakers that are exclusive to certain other bureaux, although on many occasions we are to work successfully with them and jointly meet your needs from time to time we are unable to do so and then we will advise you of this and how you will need to deal with the requirement.

Can you help with charitable events and personal requests ?
On the other scale we are often asked to provide speakers free of charge and again here we are unable to assist as we only act to provide speakers on a commercial basis and such requests must be made direct to the speaker's own agent or manager.

How can I obtain details of a speaker ?
We can direct you to the speaker profiles on this site. We endeavour to provide the most up to date information and profiles. In addition we are often able to forward on short videos presenting the selected speaker. Of course many of our speakers have names that speak for themselves.

If the name of a speaker you are interested in is not shown on our website please call us as often we can quickly arrange for such details to be sent to you.

How much can we expect to pay for a speaker ?
As Speakers Associates handle such a multitude of speakers we are unable to provide an accurate range but broadly we would say that speaker fees range from about £3,000 or equivalent in Euros or USD to more than £250,000 for the really big names!

However we will always try to work with the speaker of your choice within your price range so call us for more specific information.

You also need to be aware that this fee will not include expenses which will often include First Class airfares, hotel accommodation, ground transportation, meals, and any out-of-pocket expenses.

Can you provide speakers for occasions such as executive briefings and consulting services ?
Most definitely ! We can help you with these type of functions using our experience of such events and often speakers with whom we have worked on similar services. Following trends we are often in a unique position to help you plan and secure the best arrangements for such functions.

What is Speakers Associates recovery plan in the event of a problem ?
We are as committed to the success of your event as you are. As a result, no matter what the problem might be - weather, changes in travel schedules, airport delays, on-site problems, etc. - we bring all of our resources and expertise to bear on immediately, completely and efficiently resolving the problem.

Will the speakers do more than just a presentation? For example, will they attend a dinner or reception as well ?
Again this is often down to the individual speaker and his/her own agenda. Many will be honoured to be invited and delighted to socialise but if travelling shortly afterwards this may not be convenient. Again please let us know your request and we will do our best to arrange it.

Can Speakers Associates help with the purchase of books written by a speaker ?
Yes. Speakers Associates is experienced in arranging such matters usually at a competitive cost whether by direct contact with the author's publishers or the author's management.

Are you able to put us directly into contact with a speaker ?
No, we adhere strictly to the legislation with regard to Data Protection and are therefore unable to provide such contact details we may from time to time be able to pass on certain requests but again these must be of a commercial nature and not personal.

Does it cost more for a longer presentation or a series of events ?
Generally, yes. Again we are happy to discuss your ideas and requirements and see what can be arranged.

Many speakers will charge a fee for a presentation and keynotes and this can vary if say you require further workshops or seminars either on the same or next day.

Do I have to arrange travel for the speaker ?
Yes, Speakers Associates will provide you with the speaker's itinerary and all other relevant information so this can be arranged by you. Tickets should always have flexibility in case of any alterations to the timing of the event or any additional requests say to attend a dinner afterwards etc.

Sometimes the speaker may prefer to arrange their own travel arrangements and if this is the case we will provide you with an invoice and back up receipts for you to reimburse the speaker for such travel expenses. Where possible all such expenses are agreed in advance.

Would a speaker agree to the event being recorded or videoed ?
This is something that would depend on the individual speaker and his/her own requirements. We are always happy to negotiate such a request and document any terms and conditions.

Will I be able to communicate directly with the speaker prior to my event ?
Many of our speakers are available to speak with you directly - both prior to your choosing them as your speaker as well as after the selection has been made. As before we are often able to arrange conference call to assist in the planning of the event.
