O'Neill is an Irishman with a practical, no nonsense attitude to business which is highly sought-after all over the world. Senior executives and board directors seek his advice because of his knack for re-focusing the issues and his reputation for making the complex simple. His retail experience ranges from food to fashion, luxury to mass market and big stores to multiple sites and in everything that he does he believes that the focus has to be on one thing - the customer.

Until 2004, Selfridges was something of a sleeping giant but under O'Neill's guidance it has become not only the best department store in the world but one of the most profitable per square metre. Outside retail he has brought discipline, rigour and common sense to change projects involving companies like AIB Bank, Britvic, Chevron, Kizad, Lavazza, Nissan, Symantec and Xerox.

He is currently working on a book called 'Super Service Made Simple' with others in the pipeline. He is an experienced conference speaker and facilitator with a reputation for asking tough questions.
