Early Career and Success

Alasdair’s comedic talent was first recognised following his graduation from the London Film School, where he received a student Royal Television Society award and was nominated for a Student Oscar in 2013.

He went on to finish as the runner-up for the Laughing Horse New Act in 2013, becoming a finalist for the So You Think You’re Funny? award and achieving third place in the prestigious Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian award in the same year. Alasdair won the NATY’s New Act of the Year award in 2014 and became the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year in 2017.

Notable Performances

Alasdair’s first show titled “The Alasdair Beckett-King Mysteries” was an instant hit and sold out at the Soho Theatre. The show also made Dave’s Top 10 Jokes From The Fringe that year. In 2017, Alasdair’s natural comedic skills were recognised worldwide when his stand-up clip for BBC became a viral sensation.

Recent Achievements

In 2019, Alasdair took his second solo show, “The Interdimensional ABK”, to Edinburgh, which garnered tremendous success and critical acclaim from the audiences and the media alike. He received four and five-star reviews, leaving everyone waiting impatiently for his next performance.
