Iwan Thomas’ Background

Iwan Thomas is a former European and Commonwealth Champion, World cup winner, speaker and current British record holder. He is, without doubt, one of the finest 400m runner athletes that Britain has ever seen.

Iwan was a late starter to the world of Athletics preferring BMX bike racing instead. Since finishing athletics he has become a prominent figure in the media and has had many TV appearances including Channel 4s Destination 2012, Mccain Track and Field Show and The World Indoor Athletics Trials.

As a speaker, Iwan has an engaging and approachable style and can connect to a wide range of audiences whether at an awards ceremony or seminar inspiring people to reach their full potential.

Iwan was awarded an MBE in 1999.
