An experienced and intuitive economist, Juergen Stark's depth of knowledge and understanding will provide an eye-opening insight into the financial situation in Europe. Essential listening for economists at all levels and anyone with an interest in the EU.

Known for his former role as chief economist at European Central Bank, Juergen Stark resigned from the post in 2011 after five years of providing guidance. He felt that he had no choice other than to end his stretch with the bank early, claiming that the organisation was in a state of panic over the Eurozone crisis and was undertaking misguided steps whilst under pressure from other financial powers. This move testament to Starks commitment to sound economic practice was possibly not surprising to those familiar with his incredible career. One of Europes most respected economists, Stark has held numerous highly responsible positions, providing advice to and input into some of the most influential banks and monetary organisations within Europe.
