He has worked with leading companies such as Adobe, AT&T, Cisco, General Electric, General Mills, Gilead Sciences, Harley-Davidson, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Life Technologies, Medtronic, and Sony.

Dyer has the impressive accolade of being the only academic in the world who has published at least five times in both the Harvard Business Review and the Strategic Management Journal. In 2012 he was ranked the worlds #1 "most influential" management scholar among scholars who completed their PhDs after 1990 by the peer-reviewed journal Academy of Management Perspectives.

He is Professor of Strategy at both Brigham Young University and the Wharton School. Before becoming a professor he spent five years as a consultant and manager at Bain & Company, a top management consultancy.

His latest book is The Innovators Method (written with Nathan Furr) offering established businesses a new perspective derived from the world of the lean and agile start-up. It looks at how they create ideas and actually bring them to market in new and innovative ways.

Dyer's research has been covered by many leading business publications including Forbes, The Economist, Fortune, Business Week and The Wall Street Journal. He is also a regular speaker.
