Meet Hayley Mulenda

After nearly taking her own life at the age of 18, Hayley realised how mental health issues are increasingly affecting millennials and she was passionate to do something about it. Hayley’s experience and insight makes her a credible voice for diversity and inclusion as well as mental health and well-being.

Hayley’s story has graced some of the world’s biggest stages from Wembley Arena to Oslo Spektrum. From helping leaders bridge the gap with millennials and Gen-Zs to creating a safe space and mentoring hundreds of young people from diverse and lower socioeconomic backgrounds, Hayley really is passionate to make a change. Hayley sits on the board of Wagamama as well as consulting their CEO to help reach young people from more diverse backgrounds.

Her unique set of skills has given her access to C-Suite Executives and Graduates from FTSE 100 and Fortune 50 companies, helping provide strategies that help employees with wellbeing and inclusion. Some of her keynotes have impacted Microsoft’s HQ in Redmond working with their senior leaders as well as speaking with the CEO & senior leaders of Unilever.

Her clientele has ranged from JP Morgan, Harrods, Clifford Chance, Google and The Cabinet Office.

As well as covering the private sector, she has been able to work with Government officials as well as The Commonwealth Secretariat to give her thoughts on social mobility and young people.

Hayley specialises in delivering unforgettable and powerful keynotes, Fireside chats, Q&A’s, workshops and seminars. Her talks have been described as mesmerising, impactful and life-changing.

After nearly committed suicide in 2016, Hayley heard a story that changed her life. Not only does she share her story of overcoming depression and anxiety, but she also expresses what she was able to do to get herself out of a suicidal place. With mental health issues on the rise, she shares tips on how to sustain your mental health and how to prioritise your wellness as well as implement a healthy work-life balance into your life.
