Why organisations work with Matthew Luhn He spent more than 20 years inside Pixar’s story room, working on Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Up and Ratatouille, so the principles he teaches are the ones that actually shipped some of the most commercially successful films ever made. His book The Best Story Wins (Morgan James, 2018) gives buyers a named, documented methodology, not a generic storytelling pitch. Teams leave with a structure they can apply to a keynote, a sales call, or a brand campaign. He is one of very few speakers who has been inside a working creative culture at scale, and can speak credibly to how Pixar’s Braintrust process produces honest creative feedback without breaking trust. His client list on this material includes Apple, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Capital One, Procter and Gamble, Sony and Target, which signals that senior brand, marketing and innovation leaders are the audience he is built for. He treats storytelling as a commercial competency, not a soft skill. The work is aimed at sharper messaging, stronger brand recall, and better internal communication of strategy. Biography highlights Story artist and story supervisor at Pixar Animation Studios across more than two decades, with credits on Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille, Up, Toy Story 3 and Monsters University. One of the original 12 animators hired on the first Toy Story film in 1995. Youngest animator hired on The Simpsons at age 19, with credits on six 1992 episodes including Kamp Krusty and Lisa’s Pony. Author of The Best Story Wins: How to Leverage Hollywood Storytelling in Business and Beyond, Morgan James Publishing, 2018. TEDx speaker (TEDxUCSB), and corporate keynote speaker for Apple, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Capital One, Procter and Gamble, Sony, Target, Vrbo, Adidas and Lego. Trained at the California Institute of the Arts character animation program; BFA from the Academy of Art University. Biography Pixar built one of the most reliable creative engines in modern business by treating story as a discipline, not a talent. Inside that engine sat a small group of story artists whose job was to find, in every film, the emotional truth a global audience would respond to. Matthew Luhn was one of them, across more than 20 years and films including Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Up and Ratatouille. That work began early. He was the youngest animator hired on The Simpsons at 19, then joined Pixar in 1995 as one of the first 12 animators on Toy Story. He moved into the story room for Toy Story 2 and stayed there, eventually as story supervisor, through some of the most commercially successful animated films ever made. The carry-over to business is direct. The same questions a story artist asks about a film, what does the audience need to feel, what is the change, what is the one thing they should remember, are the questions a leader should be asking about a strategy launch, a sales pitch or a brand campaign. His book, The Best Story Wins (Morgan James, 2018), turns those questions into a working methodology. Buyers tend to find him through a specific tension. Their messages are accurate but not memorable. Their brand is recognised but not loved. Their internal communications inform but do not move people. Apple, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Capital One, Procter and Gamble, Sony and Target have used his work to address those gaps. Key speaking topics Business storytelling Brand narrative and customer engagement Creative culture and the Pixar Braintrust process Innovation and creative differentiation Leadership communication Sales and pitch storytelling Ideal for CMOs, brand directors and content leaders rebuilding how the company shows up to customers. Innovation leads and product organisations that need to make new ideas land internally and externally. Sales leadership and revenue teams sharpening pitch craft and customer-facing narrative. Internal communications and HR leaders running large town halls, change programmes or culture launches. Audience outcomes A working structure for building a story around any business message, drawn from the Pixar story process. Sharper sense of what makes a brand or product narrative memorable rather than merely accurate. Tools for giving and receiving honest creative feedback, modelled on the Pixar Braintrust. A clearer separation between information delivery and persuasion, applied to keynotes, pitches and internal comms. Specific, repeatable techniques the team can apply to the next campaign, all-hands or customer presentation.

Why organisations work with Matthew Syed He has named two of the most widely adopted ideas in modern leadership vocabulary, Black Box Thinking and Rebel Ideas, and uses them to give leadership teams a shared language for failure and dissent. He brings the rare triangulation of two-time Olympian, Times columnist since 1999 and Sunday Times number one bestselling author, which lets him hold the room with executives, boards and entire workforces. His arguments are built from primary case material across aviation, healthcare, intelligence, sport and government, not from generic management literature, so leaders leave with examples they can use in their own decision forums. Through Matthew Syed Consulting he has converted the books into psychometrics and culture programmes deployed in named organisations, which makes the keynote a credible entry point to longer-term work rather than a one-off appearance. Biography highlights Two-time Olympic table tennis player for Great Britain (Barcelona 1992, Sydney 2000) and three-time Commonwealth singles champion. First-class honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford. Columnist for The Times and The Sunday Times since 1999, with two British Press Awards Sports Journalist of the Year wins. Author of Bounce, Black Box Thinking, Rebel Ideas, The Greatest, plus the You Are Awesome series for younger readers, with over two million copies sold and translations into more than thirty languages. Presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Sideways since 2021, examining the ideas that shape behaviour and decision-making. Co-founder of Matthew Syed Consulting and trustee of Greenhouse Sports. Biography Most organisations are not structured to learn from failure. They are structured to defend against it. The aviation industry, by contrast, treats every incident as data and rewrites procedure accordingly. That contrast is the spine of Black Box Thinking, the Sunday Times number one bestseller that turned a clinical engineering practice into a leadership argument. Syed builds his case from primary material, not from the management canon. Aviation, healthcare, intelligence agencies, elite sport and government feature as case studies in his work because each shows how culture either invites or suppresses honest information. Rebel Ideas extends the argument to cognitive diversity, making the case that homogenous teams fail at complex problems even when each member is individually brilliant. The credibility behind the argument is unusual. Two Olympic Games for Great Britain, nearly a decade as England’s number one in table tennis, three Commonwealth singles titles, and a first-class PPE degree from Balliol College, Oxford. Since 1999 he has written for The Times and The Sunday Times, winning Sports Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards twice and multiple awards from the Sports Journalists’ Association. The work continues across formats. He presents BBC Radio 4’s Sideways, now in multiple series, and through Matthew Syed Consulting has turned Black Box Thinking and Rebel Ideas into diagnostic tools and culture programmes used inside organisations. The keynote is the most condensed expression of that body of work, and the route many leadership teams use to start a longer conversation about how their own institution treats failure and dissent. Key speaking topics Learning from failure and the Black Box Thinking model Cognitive diversity and the Rebel Ideas thesis High-performance culture and growth mindset Decision-making under uncertainty Innovation and creative problem-solving Leadership and team learning Ideal for CEOs and executive committees redesigning how the organisation handles error, post-mortems and accountability. Boards and senior leadership teams concerned that groupthink is shaping major decisions. Heads of innovation, R&D and transformation looking to build cognitive range into team composition. CHROs and learning leaders embedding growth-mindset and high-performance culture at scale. Audience outcomes A working definition of Black Box Thinking that leaders can apply to their own incident reviews. A clear test for cognitive diversity inside their teams, separate from demographic diversity. Specific case examples from aviation, medicine and elite sport that translate into their own decision forums. A sharper view of where their organisation currently rewards consensus over dissent. Language and frameworks that travel from the keynote into ongoing leadership conversations.

Why organisations work with Melissa Majors She gives managers a behavioural model, not a values statement. The seven habits in her book are written for the team-lead who has fifteen minutes between meetings, not for the chief diversity officer. She speaks from operator credibility, having rebuilt the education function at Ellucian for more than half a million clients and partners and run global education at Meeting Professionals International. She makes inclusion commercially legible. The argument she lands with senior buyers is innovation, retention and team output, which keeps the conversation alive when political appetite for DEI has cooled. She brings packaged IP, in’klooded for strategic planning and Community Keynotes for surfacing ideas, that clients can put to work after the keynote rather than translating principles into practice on their own. Biography highlights Author, The 7 Simple Habits of Inclusive Leaders; also author of Help Them Thrive: Leadership Coaching for Humans Leading Humans. Former Director, Global Education Services, Ellucian; former Director of Global Education, Meeting Professionals International. Career across Nationwide Insurance, Wells Fargo and HD Vest Financial Services before moving into education and consulting. Founder of Melissa Majors Consulting; creator of the in’klooded inclusive strategic planning methodology and Community Keynotes. Advanced study in strategy and innovation at Harvard University; guest lecturer in leadership and inclusion at San Diego State University. Featured contributor and subject in Forbes, Smart Meetings, PCMA Convene and The Meeting Professional. Biography Most inclusion programmes were built for a different political climate. They assumed senior sponsorship would hold, that the language would be uncontested, and that managers would translate principles into practice. None of that is reliable now. The work that survives is the work that turns inclusion into something a busy manager can do, repeatedly, without thinking of it as a programme at all. That is the territory Melissa Majors has spent more than two decades inside. She ran global education at Meeting Professionals International and rebuilt the education services function at Ellucian, where she was responsible for more than 500,000 clients and partners. Before that, her career sat inside Nationwide Insurance, Wells Fargo and HD Vest Financial Services. The pattern is consistent: large, regulated, performance-measured organisations where culture work has to justify itself in operating terms. Her book The 7 Simple Habits of Inclusive Leaders is the spine of her speaking work. It reframes inclusion as a set of repeatable behaviours, including how decisions get made, how empathy is applied tactically, and how dissent is invited rather than tolerated. The companion methodologies, in’klooded for strategic planning and Community Keynotes for idea generation, give clients something to use after the room clears. She has been featured in Forbes, Smart Meetings, PCMA Convene and The Meeting Professional, and lectures on leadership and inclusion at San Diego State University. The work she is booked for is straightforward: take inclusion off the values poster and put it back into the operating practice of managing a team. Key speaking topics Inclusive leadership as everyday management practice Behavioural habits of high-performing inclusive teams Women’s leadership and progression Manager effectiveness and team performance Psychological safety and team trust Talent retention through inclusion Tactical empathy in leadership Ideal for CHROs, heads of DEI and heads of L&D rebuilding inclusion programmes for a more contested environment People-leader populations: front-line managers, mid-level leaders and newly promoted team leads Women’s leadership networks and ERGs inside large organisations Member associations and professional bodies addressing the meetings, events and education sectors Audience outcomes A behavioural model managers can apply in the next team meeting, not after the next training cycle Language for inclusion that holds up commercially when sponsorship has cooled A clearer read on where current inclusion efforts are stalling and which habits would shift them Practical mechanisms for surfacing dissent and quieter voices inside decision-making

Why organisations work with Michael Grade He has run three of the most scrutinised cultural institutions in Britain and turned each one around under public, political, and shareholder pressure. Few business leaders have a comparable record of operating in the spotlight. He brings the rare combination of operator and regulator. Having sat on both sides of the table at the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and Ofcom, he can talk credibly to a board about how regulators actually think. He is a working authority on talent-led businesses. Grade built his career around commissioning, retaining, and managing creative talent at LWT, Channel 4, and ITV, and that perspective transfers directly to professional services and knowledge-economy firms. He sits in the House of Lords as Baron Grade of Yarmouth and chairs Ofcom, giving him a current view of the regulatory pressures shaping media, technology, and competition policy in the UK. He is a recognised figure of the Royal Television Society, a Fellow since 1991, and one of the most quoted commentators on the British broadcasting industry across four decades. Biography highlights Chairman of Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, since May 2022. Executive Chairman of ITV plc, 2007 to 2009, brought in to restructure the company through the financial crisis. Chairman of the BBC Board of Governors, 2004 to 2006, appointed in the aftermath of the Hutton Report. Chief Executive of Channel 4, 1988 to 1997, where he commissioned and acquired hits including Friends, Frasier, and ER. Controller of BBC One, 1984 to 1986, and Director of Programmes at London Weekend Television before that. Non-executive Chairman of Pinewood Shepperton Film Studios from 2000 to 2016, and Chairman of Camelot Group from 2002 to 2004. Created Baron Grade of Yarmouth in 2011, appointed CBE in 1998, and Fellow of the Royal Television Society since 1991. Author of the 1999 autobiography “It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time” (Macmillan). Biography The BBC was bruised, ITV was losing money in a recession, and Channel 4 was a young challenger looking for a commercial identity. At different points across forty years, Michael Grade was asked to fix each one. He is the only person to have run all three of Britain’s major public-service broadcasters and then ended up chairing their regulator, Ofcom. His operating record is specific. As Chief Executive of Channel 4 from 1988 to 1997, he gave the channel a commercial spine while protecting its public-service brief, acquiring Friends, Frasier, and ER and building the schedule that defined its 1990s identity. As Chairman of the BBC from 2004, he steadied an organisation under political fire after the Hutton Report. As Executive Chairman of ITV from 2007, he restructured the company through the financial crisis. The thread is the same: large, scrutinised, talent-driven organisations under pressure to perform commercially without losing legitimacy. That tension, between brand, regulator, shareholder, and creative workforce, is now the standard operating environment for many sectors beyond media. Grade has lived inside it for four decades. He sits in the House of Lords as Baron Grade of Yarmouth, was appointed CBE in 1998, became a Fellow of the Royal Television Society in 1991, and chairs Ofcom on a four-year term running to April 2026. His autobiography, “It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time,” was published by Macmillan in 1999. Key speaking topics Leadership of large institutions under public scrutiny Managing talent-driven businesses Media, broadcasting, and the regulatory landscape Crisis leadership and corporate restructuring The future of British public-service broadcasting Boardroom strategy in regulated industries Ideal for Chairs and CEOs of regulated, brand-sensitive businesses (financial services, media, telecoms, utilities) Boards facing reputational, political, or regulatory pressure Leadership audiences in talent-led professional services firms Audience outcomes A working frame for leading organisations whose performance is judged in public, not only on the P&L. A practitioner’s view of how regulators read a company, from someone who now sits in that chair. Concrete lessons from three of the most-watched corporate turnarounds in British media. A clear-eyed account of how to manage talent-driven cultures without losing commercial discipline.

Why organisations work with Mick Ebeling Commit, Then Figure It Out is a named operating method with shipped output behind it. The EyeWriter, Project Daniel, Don’s Voice, Bento, and Music: Not Impossible all began as problems that engineers and clinicians had filed under impossible. Three TIME Best Inventions across thirteen years: the EyeWriter (2010), Bento (2021), Music: Not Impossible (2023). No other individual has matched that benchmark. The method is taught, not just described. Through the Not Impossible Institute he runs the Dream, Develop, Deploy workshop with teams at Baker Hughes, Eli Lilly, Fannie Mae, Lockheed Martin, and the Project Management Institute. He frames innovation around what his team calls absurdities, unmet needs attached to named individuals. That vocabulary travels into executive conversations where abstract innovation language usually fails. What his team builds, it gives away. The EyeWriter was released open source, and the Sudan prosthetics lab was handed to locals trained to keep printing after Not Impossible left. Biography highlights Founder and CEO of Not Impossible, which spans Not Impossible Labs, the Not Impossible Institute, and the Not Impossible Foundation. Spin-out companies include Bento and Music: Not Impossible. Only individual to have three inventions named to TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions list: the EyeWriter (2010), Bento (2021), and Music: Not Impossible (2023). The EyeWriter is in the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Named to Fortune’s Top 50 World’s Greatest Leaders and to Ad Age’s Top 50 Most Creative People. Recipient of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2014. Two-time Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award honoree, 2017 and 2019. Project Daniel won a 2015 SXSW Interactive Innovation Award, the Titanium Cannes Lion with Gold and Bronze Lions in 2014, and Best in Show at The One Show. Don’s Voice won Innovation in Connecting People at the 2016 SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards. Fast Company named Music: Not Impossible to Next Big Things in Tech 2024, and Not Impossible Labs to Best Workplaces for Innovators 2026. Author of Not Impossible (Atria Books, 2015), published in its current edition as Not Impossible: Do What Can’t Be Done. Biography In April 2009, a graffiti artist named Tony “Tempt” Quan drew his first new piece of art in seven years, using only the movement of his eyes. He had been silenced by ALS since 2003. The technology that made it possible, the EyeWriter, was assembled in a Los Angeles living room by five programmers and hackers flown in from Graffiti Research Lab, Free Art and Technology Lab, and openFrameworks. The device is now part of the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art. That episode established the working method behind everything built since. Not Impossible Labs identifies what the team calls absurdities: specific human problems that today’s technology should be able to solve and has not. The model is to commit to one named individual, build a working solution, then scale it. The team calls this Help One, Help Many. The EyeWriter design was released open source rather than kept. The portfolio that followed kept the same shape. Project Daniel produced 3D-printed prosthetic arms for a teenage boy in South Sudan who lost both arms in a bombing, and left a printing lab behind with locals trained to keep making them. Don’s Voice gave an ALS patient a way to tell his wife he loved her for the first time in fifteen years, and won a SXSW Interactive Innovation Award in 2016. Bento began as a text-based system connecting food-insecure Americans with prepaid meals and is now a Medicaid and Medicare covered healthcare model serving more than 50,000 patients. Music: Not Impossible built haptic vests that let deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences feel live music as patterns of vibration. Three of these sit on TIME’s Best Inventions list, a record no other individual holds. For organisations, the value lies less in the projects than in what they prove. The word impossible is almost always doing more work than it deserves inside a company. Commit, Then Figure It Out comes from Ebeling’s earlier career as a film producer at The Ebeling Group, where clients set the deadline and the budget first and the method was worked out afterwards. Since September 2024 the Not Impossible Institute has taught that sequence directly to teams at Baker Hughes, Eli Lilly, Fannie Mae, and the Project Management Institute, over workshops running from half a day to several days. Key speaking topics Innovation methodology and the psychology of “impossible” Commit, Then Figure It Out as an operating sequence The Help One, Help Many model Radical collaboration across disciplines Technology applied to human problems Storytelling as an innovation discipline Ideal for Innovation and R&D leaders stuck on problems they have classified as too hard to solve CEOs and executive teams trying to translate purpose statements into operating culture Chief learning officers and L&D leads looking for innovation training with a named method behind it Cross-functional teams being asked to deliver outcomes their existing playbook does not cover Audience outcomes A working vocabulary for separating ideas that are genuinely infeasible from ideas that are simply unattempted A set of named case studies they can cite when defending innovation budgets and ambition inside their organisation A different criterion for committing resources to a hard problem, modelled on a method that has shipped working technology repeatedly A more honest read on the gap between an organisation’s stated purpose and how that purpose shows up in daily decisions

Why organisations work with Miha Pogacnik His Macro Violin concept is cited by C. Otto Scharmer in Theory U and across MIT Sloan’s leadership writing. Senior teams engage with an arts-based framework that already has standing in serious management thought. He has worked inside the leadership floors of IBM, Microsoft, Bosch, Nike, Shell, Novartis and Porsche. The frame of reference is decades of access to people running companies that compete on judgment. His Resonance Platform method, taught at IEDC-Bled and in client sessions, moves a leadership group from positional debate into composed creative dialogue around the actual decision on the table. He has taught at Harvard, INSEAD, IMD, IESE Barcelona, CEIBS Shanghai and THNK Amsterdam, alongside his appointment at IEDC-Bled. The work is taken seriously inside management academia and in client rooms. Biography highlights Adjunct Professor of Arts and Leadership at IEDC-Bled School of Management; has taught at Harvard, INSEAD, IMD, IESE Barcelona, CEIBS Shanghai and THNK Amsterdam Macro Violin concept attributed to him is cited by C. Otto Scharmer in Theory U and across the MIT Sloan body of work on systemic leadership Founder of IDRIART (Institute for Development of Intercultural Relations through the Arts); originated the Chartres Festival d’Eté in 1981 Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia Has worked with leadership teams at IBM, Microsoft, Nike, Shell, Novartis, Bosch, Coca-Cola and Porsche Speaker at the World Economic Forum (Davos and China), European Forum Alpbach and UN agencies; TEDx talk “A Creative Detour to Unleash Human Potential” Biography Most senior teams have absorbed every available framework for leadership. None of those frameworks change how they listen, or how they bring a room of expert voices into a coherent decision. The capacity that matters at the top is closer to conducting an orchestra than to running an analysis. That is the territory Miha Pogacnik has worked in for four decades. As Adjunct Professor of Arts and Leadership at IEDC-Bled School of Management, he uses musical performance to develop the listening and composed judgment that leadership at the top requires. His Resonance Platform method, taught in sessions with leadership teams at IBM, Microsoft, Bosch, Nike, Shell and Porsche, walks executives through the structural intelligence of a Bach fugue or a Brahms violin concerto and back to the decision on their desk. His distinctive intellectual contribution is the Macro Violin: the principle that a leader, like a violinist inside Chartres Cathedral, cannot perform on instrument alone but has to play the whole space. C. Otto Scharmer cites the concept in Theory U and across the MIT Sloan body of work on systemic leadership. That principle now sits at the centre of how arts-based leadership is taught at IEDC-Bled. The work has roots in something larger than corporate audiences. Pogacnik founded IDRIART in the early 1980s and went on to direct more than 200 intercultural festivals in crisis regions, including the Adriatic during the breakup of Yugoslavia and Central Europe in the years before the fall of the Berlin Wall. He serves as Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. The first IDRIART festival ran at Chartres Cathedral in 1981, the same setting in which Pogacnik first identified the Macro Violin principle, and where the entire body of work begins. Key speaking topics Arts-based leadership development Listening as a leadership discipline Creativity and innovation through musical structure Cultural intelligence in international business Organisational learning through artistic practice The Resonance Platform method for senior teams The Macro Violin and ensemble leadership Ideal for CHROs and Chief Learning Officers designing executive development programmes CEOs and Chief Strategy Officers convening senior teams for board offsites or strategic dialogue Business school deans and EMBA directors integrating arts and humanities into leadership education Conference programmers leading flagship events on creativity and leadership Audience outcomes A demonstration of how musical structure reveals complex team dynamics, with a Bach fugue or Brahms violin concerto used as the diagnostic Live application of the Resonance Platform method to the strategic question the leadership team brings into the room A working vocabulary for leadership drawn from musical performance: composition, ensemble, listening from the periphery, and the macro violin The shift from treating the conductor as a metaphor to treating conducting as a working model of leadership

Why organisations work with Mike Abrashoff He has a documented operational turnaround, not a theory. As Commander of USS Benfold he cut turnover to 1 percent, tripled the promotion rate, reduced operating expenses by 25 percent, and won the Spokane Trophy for combat readiness, all with the crew he inherited. His book It’s Your Ship (Grand Central Publishing) has sold more than 1.3 million copies and is read in corporate leadership programmes as well as in the military. Senior teams leave with a vocabulary their middle managers already recognise. He translates the turnaround into a method, not a sea story. Aegis Performance Group, the consulting firm he founded, runs follow-on work with client teams after the keynote, so the material gets operationalised rather than admired. His prior role as Military Assistant to Secretary of Defense William J. Perry gives him a top-of-organisation perspective on how senior decisions land on the people meant to execute them. He speaks to both ends of the chain credibly. Biography highlights Former US Navy Commander; took command of USS Benfold at 36 as the most junior commanding officer in the Pacific Fleet. Within twelve months, USS Benfold was ranked best ship in the Navy on performance metrics, with turnover at 1 percent, promotion rate tripled, and operating expenses cut by 25 percent. USS Benfold won the Spokane Trophy for the highest degree of combat readiness in the Pacific Fleet. Military Assistant to Secretary of Defense William J. Perry prior to taking command of Benfold. Author of It’s Your Ship (Grand Central Publishing), a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller with more than 1.3 million copies sold, plus follow-on titles It’s Our Ship and Get Your Ship Together. Founder of Aegis Performance Group; work referenced in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and The New York Times. Biography USS Benfold was one of the worst-performing ships in the United States Pacific Fleet when Mike Abrashoff took command of it at 36. He was the most junior commanding officer in the fleet, handed a destroyer with low morale and the highest turnover rate in the Navy, and a crew he had no authority to replace. Twelve months later, Benfold was rated the best ship in the Navy on its performance metrics, with the same people. The method that produced the result is the substance of his keynote and his consulting work. Turnover dropped to 1 percent. The rate of promotions tripled. Operating expenses fell by 25 percent. Benfold won the Spokane Trophy for the highest degree of combat readiness in the Pacific Fleet. The single line Abrashoff uses to describe what changed has become the title of the book that documents it: “It’s your ship.” The crew owned the outcome because the command structure made room for them to. The book, It’s Your Ship: Management Techniques from the Best Damn Ship in the Navy, was published by Grand Central Publishing and went to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. It has sold more than 1.3 million copies and sits on corporate reading lists as widely as military ones. Two follow-on books, It’s Our Ship and Get Your Ship Together, extend the argument into civilian organisations. Before commanding Benfold, Abrashoff served as Military Assistant to Secretary of Defense William J. Perry, which gives him a working understanding of how senior decisions translate into operational reality. What makes him useful in a corporate setting is not the uniform. It is that the Benfold turnaround was achieved without firing the crew, increasing the budget, or rewriting the rules of the Navy. The constraints inside which it happened look a great deal like the ones most senior leaders are operating in now. Key speaking topics Leadership and culture turnaround Employee engagement and retention Execution under constraint Accountability and ownership at every level Building high-performing teams from existing people Trust as an operating discipline Ideal for CEOs, COOs, and division heads inheriting underperforming teams or businesses. CHROs and people leaders rebuilding engagement, retention, and culture without a change of headcount. Senior leadership offsites focused on execution, ownership, and operating performance. Frontline and middle-management audiences in operationally intensive industries (manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, financial services, energy). Audience outcomes A concrete playbook for lifting performance from existing teams without changing personnel or budget. A working principle for distributing ownership down the chain without losing control of standards. A practical view of what employee engagement looks like as an operating discipline, not a survey result. A reframe of leadership in difficult conditions: from heroic intervention to systematic enablement of the people already there.

Why organisations work with Mike Brown Twenty years at the top of a brutally competitive professional sport, with 382 appearances for Harlequins and 72 England caps, gives leaders a credible voice on what it takes to keep performing through injury, deselection, and reinvention. Named 2014 Six Nations Player of the Championship, the only England player ever to win the award, alongside 2014 Premiership Player of the Season, evidence of standards held at the very top, not a single peak season. Lived experience of the back end of a career: leaving Harlequins after sixteen years, two seasons at Newcastle, finishing at Leicester, and retiring with the fourth most Premiership appearances of all time. Useful for audiences thinking about late-career identity, transition, and what high standards look like once the spotlight moves. Speaks from within elite team cultures under Eddie Jones, Stuart Lancaster, and Conor O’Shea, not as an outside observer. Biography highlights 72 England caps, 2007 to 2018, three Six Nations titles 382 appearances for Harlequins over sixteen seasons, two Premiership titles, one European Challenge Cup 2014 RBS Six Nations Player of the Championship and 2014 Premiership Rugby Player of the Season Retired at the end of the 2024 to 2025 season, the fourth most Premiership appearances in the league’s history Recurring co-host on RugbyPass Offload, one of the most-listened rugby podcasts Appointed Sporting Director at Esher RFC in December 2025 Biography Few players in the modern professional era have stayed at the top for as long as Mike Brown. Sixteen seasons at Harlequins, 72 caps for England, three Six Nations titles, and a career that ended with the fourth most appearances in the history of Premiership Rugby. The longevity matters because rugby does not allow it by accident. The 2014 Six Nations was the season that defined him. He was named Player of the Championship, the only Englishman ever to win the award, and Premiership Player of the Season in the same year. The recognition came after a decade of work that started with a debut in a record defeat to South Africa and ran through deselection, injury, and the public end of his Harlequins career in 2021. What Brown brings to a corporate audience is not the highlight reel, it is the sustained standard. He played under Eddie Jones, Stuart Lancaster and Conor O’Shea, and has been candid in interviews on RugbyPass Offload about the cost of holding his own performance to that standard for so long. Leaders responsible for tired teams recognise the territory. Since retirement he has moved into rugby media as a regular voice on RugbyPass Offload and into a Sporting Director role at Esher RFC. The second act sharpens the keynote material. He is now talking about high performance from both sides of the line, as the player who lived it and the executive who has to build it again from the ground up. Key speaking topics Sustained high performance Resilience and recovery from setback Team standards and accountability Elite team culture Career transition and reinvention Mental discipline under public pressure Ideal for Senior leadership teams and boards working through sustained pressure or restructure Sales and commercial teams under repeated quarterly performance demands HR and L&D programmes on resilience, standards, and high-performance culture Sports, broadcast, and member-organisation audiences Audience outcomes A clear-eyed account of what it takes to hold elite standards across a twenty-year career, not a single season Lived perspective on managing setback, public scrutiny, and deselection without losing competitive edge A working view of how elite team cultures actually function under high-profile coaches Reference points senior leaders can use when their own teams are fatigued by repeated change

Why organisations work with Mike Forde His vantage point is inside the building. As Director of Football Operations at Chelsea FC, he ran recruitment, contracts, sport science and team operations across the club’s most successful era: the Champions League, the Europa League, the Premier League and three FA Cups inside six years. Few advisors work credibly across the EPL and the major US leagues. Sportsology, the firm he founded in 2014, has long-running client relationships with the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs alongside European football clubs. He has been the architect of senior appointments that have shaped franchises. The Brooklyn Nets hired him in 2016 to lead their general manager search and he placed Sean Marks, who rebuilt the roster around Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The Sacramento Kings retained him for the same purpose in 2020. His co-authored book Quiet Leadership (Portfolio Penguin, 2016), written with Carlo Ancelotti and Chris Brady, gives him a developed framework on leading talented egos. It has sold over 100,000 copies and is read well outside professional sport. Biography highlights Founder and Executive Chairman of Sportsology Group, an advisory firm based in New York and London with clients across European football, the NFL, NBA and MLB Director of Football Operations and Executive Club Director at Chelsea FC, 2007 to 2013, the most successful era in the club’s history Performance Director at Bolton Wanderers FC, 1999 to 2007 Co-author of Quiet Leadership: Winning Hearts, Minds and Matches with Carlo Ancelotti and Chris Brady (Portfolio Penguin, 2016) Led the general manager searches for the Brooklyn Nets (placing Sean Marks in 2016) and the Sacramento Kings (2020) BSc Sport Science, Liverpool John Moores University; MSc Psychology and Sport, San Diego State University Biography Chelsea FC won everything in sight between 2007 and 2013: the Champions League, the Europa League, the Premier League and three FA Cups. Mike Forde sat inside the building for that entire run as Director of Football Operations and Executive Club Director. He had spent the previous seven years at Bolton Wanderers FC as Performance Director. The Chelsea role professionalised that work at scale: recruitment, contracts, sport science, performance analysis and team operations under public pressure. He founded Sportsology Group in 2014 to do similar work outside one club. The firm now operates from New York and London, advising franchise owners, leagues and institutional capital across European football, the NFL, NBA and MLB. Sportsology has worked with the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs and LA Rams. The firm also runs senior leadership searches: Forde placed Sean Marks at the Brooklyn Nets in 2016 and was retained by the Sacramento Kings in 2020. His co-authored book Quiet Leadership (Portfolio Penguin, 2016) sets out the methods Carlo Ancelotti used to lead talented egos at AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid. It has sold over 100,000 copies and is cited regularly by senior managers far outside professional sport. The Ringer profiled Forde in 2021 as the consultant NBA owners call when a general manager search begins. Why organisations work with Mike Lee Direct credibility transfer from elite sport. Fifteen years coaching NBA MVPs Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid, plus Malcolm Brogdon, gives audiences a vocabulary for high performance that lands harder than any management framework. A useable account of mental health from the inside. Lee built his methodology while working through severe anxiety, depression and antidepressant withdrawal, which lets him talk about wellbeing without the abstraction that usually surrounds it in corporate settings. A specific argument about belonging. The book New Rules For The Future Of Leadership makes engagement, talent and belonging culture a single connected problem, useful for CHROs trying to defend headcount and engagement budgets in the same conversation. An unusually low-friction speaker for the brief. Bureau testimonials repeatedly call out preparation and adaptability, which matters when the room is a board offsite rather than a conference plenary. Biography highlights Founder, MindShift Labs, a performance and leadership consultancy. Author, New Rules For The Future Of Leadership (Heartmind Media, 2023). Fifteen years coaching elite basketball, including NBA MVPs Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid and Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon. Host of The MindShift Lab podcast, with guests including Mo Gawdat (formerly Google X) and Cy Wakeman. Keynote and workshop client list: Google, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Deloitte, IBM, Cisco, American Family Insurance, BMO Harris, ALPLA, and SHRM. Biography Elite athletes have always operated under conditions that resemble what senior corporate leaders now face every day: high stakes, public scrutiny, narrow margins between winning and losing, and almost no recovery time. The transfer of how that world handles performance is more useful to organisations than another framework borrowed from management literature. Lee spent fifteen years inside that world. He built an international basketball training business from a college apartment and ended up working with NBA MVPs Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid, and Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, among others. While the business grew, he was also working through severe anxiety, depression and the withdrawal from antidepressant medication. The combination of elite-performance coaching and a personal route through mental health is what shaped the methodology he now brings to corporate audiences. That methodology is set out in New Rules For The Future Of Leadership (Heartmind Media, 2023). The book argues that engagement, the contest for talent and the felt experience of belonging are the same operating problem, and that leaders need both the composure of a mindful practitioner and the mindset of an elite athlete to address it. It draws on neuroscience, sports psychology and his own first-person experience. Lee now runs MindShift Labs and works with companies including Google, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Deloitte, IBM, Cisco, American Family Insurance, BMO Harris, and ALPLA, alongside professional bodies such as SHRM. His podcast, The MindShift Lab, ran twenty-nine episodes between 2021 and 2022 with guests including Mo Gawdat, formerly Chief Business Officer at Google X. Key speaking topics High-performance leadership Engagement and belonging culture Mindfulness and presence at work Mental health and burnout Resilience under uncertainty Peak performance psychology Talent and retention Ideal for CHROs and people leaders carrying engagement, retention and culture targets. Senior leadership offsites where performance and wellbeing need to be addressed in the same room. Sales, client-facing and high-pressure commercial teams. Talent and learning leads designing leadership development at the manager and director tier. Audience outcomes A practical view of how elite athletes manage focus, recovery and pressure, applied to corporate conditions. A clearer line between belonging culture and the commercial cost of attrition. Specific mindfulness and presence techniques leaders can use before a high-stakes conversation, not as a wellbeing perk. A more honest internal language for mental health that senior leaders can use without sounding either performative or clinical.

Why organisations work with Mike Robbins He treats appreciation, vulnerability, and psychological safety as operational levers, not soft values, and gives leaders a vocabulary their teams can act on the next morning. He has spent twenty years inside the cultures of Google, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, eBay, Gap, Schwab, Airbnb, the NBA, and Pixar. The frame is tested against how high-stakes teams actually behave. His book Bring Your Whole Self to Work and the related TEDxBerkeley talk gave senior leaders a usable language for authenticity that does not collapse into oversharing or performance. He holds the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association, the top earned credential in his profession, and is one of fewer than ten percent of speakers worldwide to hold it. His perspective sits on an unusual seam: elite-level baseball at Stanford and in the Kansas City Royals system, then two decades of cultural work with serious operating companies. The room recognises the standard he is calling for. Biography highlights Author of five books, including Bring Your Whole Self to Work and We’re All in This Together, translated into fifteen languages. Speaker at TEDxBerkeley, with three TEDx talks that have reached over 2.3 million views. Featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review, and on ABC News; hosts the weekly We’re All in This Together podcast. Stanford graduate (American Studies, specialisation in race and ethnicity); pitched for Stanford in the College World Series. Drafted by the New York Yankees out of high school; played three professional seasons in the Kansas City Royals minor league system. Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), National Speakers Association. Biography Most teams underperform their talent. Not because the people are wrong, but because the cultural conditions around them, trust, candour, appreciation, the willingness to be honest under pressure, are weaker than the work demands. That gap is the territory Mike Robbins has worked in for twenty-five years, across more than 2,000 programmes in 17 countries. His five books, published by Hay House and translated into fifteen languages, build a coherent argument about how authenticity and appreciation operate as performance variables inside teams. Bring Your Whole Self to Work and We’re All in This Together are the most cited. Both have moved from leadership reading lists into the working language that companies like Google, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Airbnb, the NBA, and Pixar use to describe their own culture work. The intellectual frame is sharpened by an unusual background. Robbins pitched for Stanford in the College World Series and spent three seasons in the Kansas City Royals minor league system before injuries ended his playing career. He understands what high-performance teams demand of the people inside them, and he understands what fails. That perspective sits alongside a Stanford degree in American Studies with a specialisation in race and ethnicity, and the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association. His TEDxBerkeley talk on bringing your whole self to work has reached audiences far beyond corporate stages, and his Forbes column extends the same argument into how leaders practise appreciation, navigate change, and create psychological safety without slipping into performance. The throughline is consistent: culture is not climate, it is capability, and the leaders who treat it that way get more from their people. Key speaking topics Team culture and psychological safety Authenticity and vulnerability at work Appreciation as a performance practice Emotional intelligence for leaders Belonging and inclusion inside teams Leading through change and uncertainty Trust and high-performing teams Human connection in an AI-accelerating workplace Ideal for CHROs and chief people officers rebuilding engagement and team culture after restructure or hybrid transition Senior leadership teams who want a shared language for trust, candour, and appreciation Heads of talent and learning designing culture and leadership development programmes Sales, R&D, and operating leaders responsible for the performance of large, distributed teams Audience outcomes A practical model for psychological safety that leaders can apply inside their own teams the same week Specific behaviours that turn appreciation from a soft idea into a measurable team practice A clear distinction between authenticity that builds trust and disclosure that erodes it Tools for engaging conflict directly rather than routing around it A shared team vocabulary for the cultural conditions that high performance actually depends on

Why organisations work with Mohsin Zaidi He speaks about inclusion from inside the institutions that struggle most with it: the English Bar, the UK Supreme Court, magic-circle law, and a global strategic advisory firm. The argument carries because the credentials are the audience’s own. A Dutiful Boy is the only memoir to win both the Lambda Literary Award and the Polari First Book Prize while also being named Book of the Year by The Guardian, GQ and New Statesman. That literary standing changes how a corporate audience receives a personal story. His subject is the specific friction between social mobility, faith, race and sexuality, not a single identity strand. Useful for organisations whose inclusion conversations have plateaued on single-axis framing. He has done the unglamorous work alongside the writing: trustee of Stonewall, former board member of London Pride, named on The Lawyer Hot 100 and the FT future LGBT leaders list. The advocacy is institutional, not performative. He translates lived experience into questions a leadership team can act on, particularly on mental health stigma in ethnic minority communities, where most corporate wellbeing programmes are weakest. Biography highlights Author of A Dutiful Boy (Penguin, 2020), winner of the Lambda Literary Award and the Polari First Book Prize. Book of the Year selections from The Guardian, GQ, New Statesman and Attitude. BA Law with European Legal Studies, Keble College, Oxford; qualified as a solicitor at Linklaters and a New York attorney. Judicial Assistant to Lord Sumption and Lord Wilson at the UK Supreme Court; criminal barrister at 6 King’s Bench Walk. Management consultant at Hakluyt & Company since 2021. Trustee of Stonewall; Financial Times top future LGBT leader; The Lawyer Hot 100. Biography Walthamstow to Keble College, Oxford was the first improbable journey. Linklaters, then the UK Supreme Court as Judicial Assistant to Lord Sumption and Lord Wilson, then the criminal Bar at 6 King’s Bench Walk, were the next. The institutions Mohsin Zaidi passed through are the same institutions that most struggle to retain people who look and sound like him. A Dutiful Boy, published by Penguin in 2020, is the memoir of how those journeys actually felt from the inside. It won the Lambda Literary Award and the Polari First Book Prize, and was named Book of the Year by The Guardian, GQ, New Statesman and Attitude. The literary reception matters because it sets the register: this is not a corporate diversity talk dressed up as a story. The argument Zaidi makes to organisations is narrow and useful. Single-axis inclusion frameworks (race, or class, or sexuality, or faith) miss what most people from minority backgrounds actually carry into work, which is the interaction effect. He is direct on mental health stigma inside ethnic minority communities, an area corporate wellbeing programmes routinely under-serve. He is a trustee of Stonewall and a former board member of London Pride, so the institutional knowledge sits alongside the personal one. Since 2021 he has been a management consultant at Hakluyt & Company, alongside his writing and advocacy. The combination is what makes the work travel into senior commercial rooms: he is asking the same questions the partners and executives in front of him are asking, from a position that takes their context seriously. Key speaking topics Intersectionality at work Social mobility in professional services Mental health stigma in ethnic minority communities LGBTQ+ inclusion in conservative cultures Race, faith and workplace identity Belonging and authenticity in elite institutions Ideal for CHROs, heads of D&I and culture leads at professional services firms Law firm and financial services leadership audiences working on retention of minority talent ERGs, Pride networks and multicultural networks at large corporates Executive committees reviewing the substance, rather than the optics, of their inclusion programmes Audience outcomes A clearer view of how race, faith, class and sexuality interact in the daily experience of minority staff. Specific language for talking about mental health in communities where the topic is stigmatised. A sharper sense of why retention of senior minority talent stalls in firms that recruit well. Permission for senior leaders to engage personal identity as a leadership question, not a compliance one.
