Biography

Dan Sobovitz works at the intersection of technology, public policy, and innovation, helping organisations navigate how digital transformation, sustainability, and civic engagement shape modern economies and societies. As founder and CEO of spreadable.io, he focuses on digital engagement and communication strategies that connect institutions, startups, and global audiences.

He also serves as Managing Director of the European Startup Prize for Mobility, an initiative supporting innovation in sustainable transport. In this role, he works with entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders to highlight emerging technologies and scale solutions addressing the future of mobility and climate transition.

Earlier in his career, Sobovitz worked at the European Commission as a speechwriter and digital communications strategist for Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič. His work there focused on digital engagement and communication across major policy areas, contributing to how complex European initiatives are communicated to international audiences.

Alongside his institutional experience, Sobovitz has been involved in initiatives connecting technology, democracy, and civil society. He founded the network DemoCrisis, focused on democratic participation and public debate around political and societal issues.
