Sheree Murphy – Actress & Broadcaster
Sheree is a British actress and Radio & TV presenter, best known for her role as Tricia Dingle in the ITV1 soap opera Emmerdale, who she played from 1998 until 2004.
In 2005 the public fell in love with Sheree’s genuine, accessible personality when she was voted runner up in, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! She presented ITV2’s coverage of the British Soap Awards in both 2005 and 2006 and went on to co-host the ITV2 spin-off shows for Soapstar Superstar and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!. Additional credits consist of various strands for This Morning, including a 3-week guest slot covering I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! in 2007. Sheree was also a guest judge on GMTV’s Battle of the Brides in 2008.
Sheree’s down to earth and likeable nature has seen her front various commercial campaigns including Pampers, Cow and Gate, Hello Fresh and the Christmas TV advertising campaign for Nintendo DS.
In 2010 Sheree hosted GMTV’s Baby Lounge Club which looked at everyday issues that parents can face. She also joined the cast of Channel 4 Soap Hollyoaks playing Anita Roy’s long-lost mother, Eva Strong. In addition, she stepped in as a co-host for series 3 of the successful Channel 5 show Cowboy Builders. Sheree’s episodes rated so highly for the channel they commissioned a one off follow up show off the back of the series.
In 2014 Sheree made her acting comeback in Australian soap, Neighbours, for a six-week guest stint playing a devious character and acquaintance of Paul Robinson, Dakota Davies. Sheree’s explosive finale episode reached over 1 million viewers.
Throughout 2015, Sheree also joined the Loose Women ladies as a guest panellist and in the same year Sheree returned to our TV screens appearing on cookery competition, Celebrity MasterChef. Passionate about home cooking and family nutrition, Sheree performed brilliantly and impressed the judges throughout with her cooking knowledge and calm nature.
Sheree reprised her role as Dakota Davies in March 2018 and filmed special scenes on location in London with Paul Robinson’s son, Leo Tanaka, who was seeking answers surrounding the mysterious death of his mother.
Sheree co-hosted the live Sunday morning show on Hits Radio for 6 years and is now a presenter for BBC show, Morning Live.
