Jana Azizi’s background
Jana Azizi was born on March 1, 1990 in Munich. She grew up in Mainz. After graduating from high school, Jana completed a three-year training as a marketing communications clerk at the Düsseldorf advertising agency Gray Worldwide. After successfully passing her final exam, she enrolled at the University of Mainz in 2011 in the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
In parallel to her studies, Jana began to model professionally. Her older sister convinced her to apply to various agencies. As a brunette plus-size model, Jana worked for industry giants such as Otto, Kaufhof, C&A and Tchibo, among others.
Jana gained her first journalistic experience during her studies. Between 2014 and 2015 she did an internship in the sports department of the SWR Mainz. She worked on reports for the station and conducted interviews with those responsible, players and fans of the first division soccer club FSV Mainz 05. From September 2016 on, Jana attended a Moderator training course at the logo Institute in Frankfurt. From March 1, 2017, she joined the Sky Sport News team.
In addition to her presence on the screen, she also worked as an editor for the sports program. In 2020 Jana announced her move to RTL. In a conversation with her new employer in March 2020, she looked back positively on her time as Sky Sport News presenter: “I would like to thank Sky for the opportunity and trust in Sky Sport News HD over the past three years. It has always given me great pleasure to be so close to the sporting scene! “
In addition to her work as a television presenter, Jana is regularly booked for event moderation. In doing so, she benefits from her talent for languages.
