Troy Deeney's 2025 biography
Troy Deeney – professional footballer, coach and broadcaster
Troy is a professional footballer and coach at Forest Green Rovers in League 2.
He has previously played for and captained both Watford and Birmingham City in both the Premier League and the Championship and has made over 500 professional appearances and scored more than 160 career goals.
Troy still remains Watford FC’s all-time leading Premier League goal scorer, having played there between 2010–2021.
Troy is now fast becoming a regular pundit across Sky Sports EFL fixtures and is a co-host alongside Jermain Defoe for BBC Sound’s Football Firsts.
In 2022, Troy presented Channel 4 Documentary, Troy Deeney: Where’s My History? He set out to campaign to make Black, Asian and minority ethnic histories and experiences being taught on the curriculum in schools across the UK.
Troy has also been a regular guest for TalkSport’s Monday Morning Breakfast Show, appearing alongside Laura Woods and Ally McCoist.
