Renowned for his knowledge of international business strategy, global and emerging markets, investments and human resources, Dr Daniel Thorniley has provided consultancy services for some of the largest companies in the world.

Education

Educated at Oxford University, Daniel Thorniley initially studied towards a B.A in Soviet Political Economy, before eventually completing a doctorate in the subject.

The Economist Group

Dr Thorniley worked for The Economist Group (which researches and analyses data concerning international business and produces publications) for 23 years. He held the position of Senior Vice President and Senior Consultant at the Groups Vienna office, specialising in global corporate trends and emerging markets. He remained with the Group until the closure of their Vienna office in 2008.

DT-Global Business Consulting and CEEMEA Business Group
CEEMEA Business Group is an advisory consultancy of which Dr Thorniley is a co-founder. Through CEEMEA, Thorniley and his knowledgeable colleagues provides presentations, written reports and private meetings for their clients.

Dr Thorniley has also founded DT-Global Business Consulting, a Vienna based consultancy company which is part of the CEEMEA Business Group. DT-Global Business Consulting offers advice and information regarding business strategy, best practice, global and emerging markets and CEEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa). For the consultancy, Dr Thorniley has worked with some of the most well-known global companies as a speaker and board member. IBM , GlaxoSmithKline, Ernst & Young, Procter & Gamble and former UK Prime Minister John Major have all praised his abilities as a speaker and been impressed by his knowledge and foresight.

As well as speaking for business, Dr Thorniley has presented successful talks at Oxford University, the University of Chicago, the Central European University (Budapest) and at IESE Business School at the University of Navarra.
